To help you decide if we have the right experience to manage your product we have profiled our existing businesses. We have tried to describe the markets we are involved in as it is those that dictate the process we develop for a successful delivery.

Whilst product profile is important, it is not as important as the process so while looking through these examples concentrate more on the processes and environment rather than looking for a product match.

NATIONAL RETAIL CHAINS
Retail chains generally operate on a mixture of "push" and "pull" distribution. Push orders often require a large amount of product to be distributed simultaneously throughout the network. This is then supported by small pull orders to replenish stock sold. We have experience with this type of work and understand the dynamics and volatility that must be managed for a successful distribution.
SPARE PARTS

We have developed an extensive range of services to support the unique requirements of the spare parts market. Often a poor cousin in a corner of the finished goods warehouse we understand that good parts support is critical for repeat sales, reputations and satisfied consumers. Kitting, re-packing, supercession, returns and repairs are all key skills we have developed to help the parts process – we do not under estimate the complexity and service demands of this business.

CLOTHING -FLAT PACK AND HANGING
We have a number of clients distributing clothing and we have experience with both flat pack and hanging garments. This experience includes push deliveries to national retail chains, managing promotions, items and merchandising clothing and a growing range of clothing in sporting goods and accessories. Push distributions now feature a growing incidence of cross-docked orders picked in a central warehouse outside New Zealand with replenishment orders supported by a smaller local inventory held in our Distribution Centre.
ELECTRONIC PARTS

With over 30,000 line items and 2,000 orders a week we are gaining some experience in parts management! This is specialist work and our staff and processes are trained and designed to manage the unique exceptions that each client requires servicing their market. This business includes consumables as well as replacement parts and that alone can place great demand on service delivery to ensure customer satisfaction.

OFFICE MACHINES
Computers, printers, photocopiers and faxes are all sold against demanding monthly and quarterly targets. This usually results in huge demand being placed on logistics at the end of each month – often compounded by late arrivals of stock from overseas that simply must go out. Once the deliveries have all been made then things go a bit quieter and the time used to manage warranty returns, faulty goods and simple stock returns from customers. We have been in this business for over six years and understand that our role is to help ensure sales targets are met, customers are happy and costs are under control.
GIFTWARE & HOMEWARE

Like sporting goods, giftware has seasonal demands that must be met to ensure our clients can maximise sales in a very competitive environment. This, coupled with the complexity of fragile product sold individually and in sets, makes this market challenging. It is also a market that is taking advantage of the new internet e-tail challenge and this results in us managing a wide range of order types and sizes for our clients as we deliver to consumers and retailers on the same day.
